Benefit Night for North of Boston Cancer Resource Integrative Care and Support

The North of Boston Cancer Resource Integrative Care and Support is holding a fundraiser to benefit our ongoing efforts to enhance the well-being of people living with cancer and their loved ones. Many thanks to Flatbread in Amesbury (5 Market Square) for their support! The Flatbread Company will donate $3.50 for each large flatbread and $1.75 for each small flatbread sold during the benefit.

Spiritual Care and Cancer: Addressing the Whole Person

The 11th annual Spiritual Care Conference will be held October 22, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. A panel discussion and afternoon workshops will explore the dimensions of living with cancer and caring for the cancer patient. Panelists: Judith Geaghan, MSW, LICSW, Jed Howard, RN, Arul Mahadevan, MD, FRCS, Agata Marszalek, MD, and Shelly Snow, MDiv, MEd, APBCC. During the evening presentation, participants will hear from keynote speaker Elana Rosenbaum, MS, LICSW, author of Here for Now: Living Well with Cancer through Mindfulness and Being Well (even when you're sick). TAI CHI 2 Health - Free class focused for Cancer Patients and Survivors
Beginning January 3rd, 2019 - Weekly on Thursdays 11a - 12p
Tai Chi is a moving meditation which helps to relax the mind and strengthen the body. It is a gentle form of exercise that enhances the immune system and decreases pain, stiffness, anxiety, stress, and blood pressure. Tia Chi improves coordination, flexibility, balance and overall wellness. Join volunteer certified Tai Chi Instructors and cancer survivors from the Taoist Tai Chi Society at the Tuck Learning Campus (Old Exeter High School) on 30 Linden Street in Exeter. Honoring your Body and Spirit after Cancer; Continuing to Heal
Second Sunday of each month, 3p-4:30p
Support your ongoing Health and Well-Being. Gentle, mindful stretching and supported restorative poses invite your body to open, relax and heal. Each session will be modified to meet the needs of participants.
